You came for the N.A.M.E master classes last year; what is it you enjoy in your role as trainer ?
Everything is different when you’re in front of a class. I’m used to perform on stage but here, I’m stripped naked and I cannot hide behind my computer any more. It seems normal to share my passion with trainees, considering my experience. I’ve been earning a living on stage with Live for the past 9 years now, so I can offer a rather unique perspective on the tool.
What piece of advice can you offer young producers-to-be ?
Sounds. Tools are important, but sounds come first. Also, try to avoid the trap of buying always more gear. Finally, do whatever you do for yourself, not for business.
