Our sound environement has developped over the centuries to become richer and more amplified : engines roaring, doors banging, alarms etc... The goal of sound design is to give objects an intelligent and purposeful 'voice', adding beauty to usefulness. The guests in this debate are all sound designers. They'll have the oportinuty to show one or more of the projects they worked on. Toyota for one, the Laguna for another, each of them with a different approach and sensitivity!
Yves Michaud - Ludovic Germain from Laps design is at war against basic 'bip-bips'. He imagines a near future when sound design will have found its way into the industry of domestic goods // Louis Dandrel is a journalist, a musician, and the former director of radio France Musique etc... Thousands of party defenders claim hedonism in the face of a particularly guilt-enducing society. What can we make of this proclaimed hedonism? Is it a need? A fashion wave in the 'consumerist tropism'? A small rebellion?
